Easy walk today

A quick update. It’s been a relatively uneventful day expect for the wonderful bread Daiana brought over and the great dinner Benjamin was responsible for, with some help from James and me. It’s nice to cook together. We have a rule in our house that the one that cooks dinner doesn’t have to do the dishes – so we meet a little conundrum when we all contribute to dinner… The dishes do get clean… For me today was relatively uneventful….

It’s been two good days. Hungry days. I have been prepping for the next cycle tomorrow by again fasting both days. Bitter to have good days where I could have enjoyed almost normal life, but I have to believe that starving my cells – and the cancer cells in particular will make them more susceptible to the chemo.  I am again going to enter the chemo suite tomorrow morning with mixed feelings. I have enjoyed two days with hardly any side effects, only a few minor ones. Even my taste buds have had a relief and been almost normal. And it doesn’t feel like my teeth are falling out anymore. It gives me hope that when this is over I will feel normal – albeit wiser and more appreciative of the little things.
