Another rapid update from James: 

Stine is doing better than usual for Day 2 post-treatment. Her appetite continues to be good and she doesn’t seem to have as much “chemohead” as in previous sessions. She is sleeping more (probably because of the RSO) but that is OK and is actually a good way to deal with this. One new side effect has shown up though: her finger tips are bright red and sensitive. It is likely another neuropathy reaction but makes rubbing against or touching objects painful- including typing.

I removed the 5-FU “lemon” earlier in the morning. There isn’t much cold-sensitivity so she is getting more to drink. After dinner, Benjamin and I forced her to watch a guy movie, “Between Two Ferns.” 

She managed to giggle a few times. Then a few more.

But that could be the RSO too. “Mostly Maui Waui man, but it’s got some Labrador in it.” 

Tip of the hat to Lars and Up in Smoke. With just a bit of luck Day 3 will be as low key.
