Cycle 6 Update
Guest post from James today. Stine has been quite drowsy all day with some neuropathy that is making it difficult for her to swallow, and she is dealing with a number of hot flashes. I made her some donuts today and she seemed to like them. They are closer to Norwegian smultring, but baked and then dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Chess was going crazy for them and he followed Benjamin around the house begging (I think unsuccessfully?) for a taste.
Manly chores for the day included kerfing down a large palm stump. The idea was to do it with the chainsaw, but the chain broke about 5′ into the task so I ended up doing it by hand with saw and axe. A bit more manly than planned. I also mopped the floors. Maybe that wasn’t so manly, but it needed to be done.
Tomorrow we will take Stine down to have the 5-FU pump removed. At Kaiser, they let me do it but this one from Moores is all fancy and computerized so they aren’t letting me close to it. Smart choice.
As far as cycles go, this one is tough but not as bad as Cycle 3. This is likely due to the lower dosage but we will see tomorrow when the steroids have worn off.
