I guess it was inevitable, but somewhat of a surprise. The chemo I’m getting is not supposed to cause a total hair loss, but possibly some thinning. Since the first cycle I have noticed that my hair has stopped growing. It is hard to say if the hair on my head is not growing, but areas I normally shave do not need a lot of attention anymore, so I suppose that is the same for the hair on my head….

The last three days have been good days for me. I still need a lot of rest, but I feel all in all better. It is sad to have to set up strict social boundaries these days. I’m however reading more about the COVID-19 outbreak than experiencing it since I spend most of my time inside the house. Just a quick update. Today has been reasonably good. I got a pulse of more than 120 from taking a shower and getting dressed so my body is clearly working hard. I have done a few hours of work with couch breaks in between meetings. Slow Recovery in Cycle 2

Just like last cycle, today was better than Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was the toughest, but I spent most of the day on the couch on Sunday as well. Today has still been mostly horizontal, but I have been walking around more and had less waves of feeling really unwell. It’s been a harder day today. Seems like Saturday is when the chemo kicks in fully. Likely because the whole dose of 5FU is now in my system – and the protective steroids I got on Thursday are out.
