James guest-posting.. Stine had her surgery today. It was definitely an early start but she was in good spirits but was limited to a small bag. The surgery started around 0720 and they just finished at 1430. Dr. Baumgartner called me after the procedures and stated the surgery went well with no surprises or findings of extra disease. She was slowed as the anesthetic wore off but is now finishing packing. We are getting conflicting messages on how much she can bring with her to the hospital. I am now challenging my inner and outer microbiome – or clearly trying to get rid of most of it. My innards have been flushed with 1 gallon (4 liters) of electrolytes. Yesterday was a day with only clear liquids to “eat” so I was on a tea, no pulp orange juice and electrolyte diet.
